I work with clients from a trauma-informed lens, giving them a safe space to connect between past trauma and behaviors they are currently experiencing. I use an eclectic mix of modalities depending on my client’s needs. Concepts of acceptance, surrender, self-awareness, and empowerment are also incorporated into my sessions. I work with humans of all identities including LGBTQIA+, BIPOC, BDSM and poly identities, as well as folx struggling with substance abuse or behavioral/process addictions.

As a holder of some marginalized identities and an ally to others, I make a point of understanding my privilege and how I can use it to continue to fight for the rights of marginalized communities. I believe in Sex positivity, Health at every size, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, as well as Harm-reduction or Abstinence.
I grew up in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains, in Washington State, where I spent most of my time outside in the forest, by a lake or river. I have always said that "if I'm near water, I'm going to get in it". Hence the name Waters Edge Healing. I feel most spiritual and connected to the rest of the earth's beings when I am touching water.
My early adulthood found me working in TV news for about 15 years before moving to Hawai'i where I spent as much time as I could in the ocean, rivers and waterfalls. In Hawai'i, while working in the Autism field as a Behavioral therapist, I realized that I wanted to return to school and become a counselor.
I was lucky enough to graduate from the University of Hawai'i at Manoa with my Bachelors degree in psychology. UHM happens to be a sister school to The University of Northern Colorado, which is how I ended up in beautiful Northern Colorado for Graduate School where I earned my Masters degree in Marriage, Couples and Family Counseling/Therapy (MA for short). I love northern Colorado so much that I've made it my home.
I have two amazing dogs named Maci and Gus-Gus who are my world! I love to take them camping in the Poudre Canyon as much as I possibly can. I also love photography, MCM furniture, silversmithing and consider myself an amateur geologist.
I love helping people learn about themselves and change their perspective on life. You are the expert on your own healing, I'm just here to guide you through those new realizations.
